Two raw Japanese A5 Wagyu ribeye steaks shown for comparing cuts and portions

Japanese Wagyu Price Guide UK: Cost per Steak and Serving

Japanese A5 Wagyu prices depend on the exact cut, selected pack and purchase option. Beleaev's catalogue prices checked on 10 October 2026 were £35 for 200g ribeye (£175/kg) and £38 for 200g sirloin (£190/kg). On 11 October, the UK storefront displayed promotional prices of £28 and £30.40 respectively. A planned 100g raw allocation is half the pack price, but you still buy the complete pack.

These are dated examples from Beleaev Caviar & Gourmet, not a permanent price promise or a survey of the UK market. Check the selected variant and purchase option for today's price, then include delivery and any checkout adjustments in your budget.

How does the current promotion change the calculation?

200g selection Catalogue base price Displayed promotional price, 11 October 2026 Promotional £/100g Promotional £/kg
Japanese A5 ribeye, 200g £35 £28 £14 £140
Japanese A5 sirloin, 200g £38 £30.40 £15.20 £152

The ribeye page displayed “One-Time Purchase WAGYU −20%” as well as a subscription choice. Check which purchase option is selected: a recurring option is a different commitment. This records the offer displayed on the product pages, not a completed checkout or a promise that the promotion will continue.

What are the base catalogue costs for the steak packs?

Selected product and format Total raw weight Pack price Per 100g Per kg
Japanese A5 ribeye, 200g 200g £35 £17.50 £175
Japanese A5 ribeye, 400g 400g £70 £17.50 £175
Japanese A5 ribeye, 2 × 200g 400g £70 £17.50 £175
Japanese A5 ribeye, 2 × 400g 800g £140 £17.50 £175
Japanese A5 sirloin, 200g 200g £38 £19 £190
Japanese A5 sirloin, 400g 400g £76 £19 £190

Price snapshot: 10 October 2026; GBP catalogue prices for the specified variants, before delivery or any purchase-option discount. These figures do not confirm stock or delivery eligibility.

In this snapshot, the ribeye multipacks have the same unit price as the 200g pack. Buy a multipack for its quantity and piece format, not an assumed discount. One 400g piece and two 200g pieces weigh the same in total, but thickness and cooking time need not be the same. Individual sealing is not confirmed by the multipack name.

What does dinner for two or four cost at the base prices?

Use a raw-weight plan before choosing the pack. The 100g allocation below is an illustrative tasting course with other food, not a universal serving recommendation or cooked yield.

Meal plan Selected purchase Beef purchase subtotal Beef cost per person
Two tasting allocations of 100g One 200g ribeye pack £35 £17.50
Four tasting allocations of 100g One 400g ribeye pack £70 £17.50
Two larger raw allocations of 200g One 2 × 200g sirloin selection £76 £38

The Japanese A5 sirloin, 2 × 200g selection buys both stated pieces for the quoted £76 snapshot. Rice, vegetables, sauce and delivery are additional to the beef subtotal. Appetite and the rest of the menu determine whether your planned amount is suitable.

How do you recalculate when a price changes?

  • Per 100g: selected pack price × 100 ÷ total raw grams.
  • Per kilogram: selected pack price × 1,000 ÷ total raw grams.
  • Allocated beef cost: selected pack price × planned raw portion grams ÷ total raw pack grams.
  • Order total: all selected packs and other items, less applicable discounts, plus delivery and any checkout adjustments.

For example, £35 × 1,000 ÷ 200 = £175/kg. The same pack divided into two raw allocations costs £17.50 per allocation, but the purchase remains £35 before delivery. If you use only half, the remaining half is still part of the amount you bought.

When does the cheaper option stop being better value?

At the base prices, ribeye is £3 less per 200g than sirloin; at the displayed promotional prices, the difference is £2.40. That is useful only if either cut suits the meal. Read the ribeye versus sirloin comparison before substituting one for the other. A sliced hot-pot product is another format again; its unit price does not make it a substitute for an intact steak.

The decision changes if a current variant price, delivery charge or intended quantity changes. It also changes if the larger pack leaves beef you cannot use or store according to its label. A whole joint requires its own portioning and storage plan; do not select one solely because its unit price looks lower.

What should you confirm before paying?

  1. Check the exact cut, selected variant, total weight and number of pieces.
  2. Confirm whether you selected a one-time purchase or subscription and read the resulting price.
  3. Check the product's storage instructions and your delivery postcode in checkout.
  4. Compare the final payable total, including the checkout tax presentation and delivery, rather than adding an assumed fee or tax amount.

Use the ribeye pack guide to choose piece size, or browse the Japanese A5 Wagyu collection once the meal quantity is clear.
