One 30g tin makes 12 measured canapés in three formats: four warm blinis, four cucumber cups and four toast points. Each piece receives 2.5g Royal Baeri, so the complete tin is allocated without guessing.
| Ingredient | Recipe amount | Pack to purchase |
|---|---|---|
| Royal Baeri Caviar | 30g | 1 x 30g tin |
| Beleaev Blinis - 12 pc | 4 pieces | 1 x 12-piece pack |
| Crème Fraiche, Fresh, 170g | 40g | 1 x 170g pack |
| Cucumber | 120g untrimmed | 1 small cucumber |
| Sourdough bread | 2 slices, about 80g | 1 loaf |
| Salted butter | 12g | 1 pack |
| Chives and dill | 6g total | 1 small bunch of each |
The base changes, while the caviar amount stays fixed. Keep the garnish light and do not add lemon to only one group. This makes the three-piece plate useful for choosing a preferred format without claiming that one base is universally better.
Fish, milk and wheat, including gluten, are present. Blinis and bread may contain egg, sesame or other allergens, so check every exact pack and cross-contact statement. Keep caviar and crème fraîche chilled under their separate labels until assembly. Follow the opened-pack directions for the remaining blinis and dairy; no leftover life is inferred here.

The main recipe is twelve pieces across three bases. For a separate five-format platter with twelve pieces of each style, plan sixty canapés and 150g caviar at 2.5g each. That is five groups of 30g, not 100g total. It can give twelve guests one of each style; do not describe sixty pieces as a small four-person platter.
| Format | Twelve-piece base and topping | Caviar |
|---|---|---|
| Blinis | 12 blinis and 60g crème fraîche, 5g each | 30g, 2.5g each |
| Rye bread | 12 small rye squares and 30g spreadable butter, 2.5g each | 30g, 2.5g each |
| Devilled eggs | 6 fully cooked eggs split into 12 halves; yolks mixed with 30g mayonnaise, 5g Dijon and 5ml vinegar, then divided between the whites | 30g, 2.5g each |
| Cucumber rounds | 12 stable, dried rounds and 60g crème fraîche, 5g each | 30g, 2.5g each |
| Potato pancakes | 12 small cooked potato pancakes and 60g crème fraîche, 5g each | 30g, 2.5g each |
For the potato bases, grate 400g peeled floury potato and one small onion, squeeze out excess liquid and mix with one beaten egg and 25g plain flour. Fry small flattened spoonfuls in a little cooking oil over moderate heat until the potato and egg centre are cooked through. Cook the complete batter and select twelve suitable bases; keep any extras plain. Let intense surface heat settle before topping.
Prepare and keep the chilled components separately, then assemble small platters close to service. Rye bread is an option, not a compulsory brand or proof of cultural authenticity. Choose drinks to suit the guests; sparkling water is an alternative to wine or vodka.
The twelve-piece main recipe uses one 30g tin. The larger five-style plan uses 150g. Decide the piece count and portion first, then buy enough current tin formats.
Yes, at the same measured weight. A different variety does not automatically require smaller or larger portions.
