Buying British Wagyu Online: Delivery and Storage Checklist

Choose the exact pack first, then confirm delivery and handling for that product and your postcode. A national shipping banner does not tell you whether a frozen steak will be ready to cook on the evening it arrives.

Before adding a pack

Check What to establish
Origin and description That the product is the British range you intended; farm, feed and breed claims need their own supporting information
Format Individual steak, two-steak pack, whole joint, mince or formed burger
Weight and count Approximate weight of each piece and total raw weight of the selected pack
Handling Whether that product is supplied frozen or chilled and its label instructions
Purchase type One-time purchase or recurring order, and any conditions attached to a discount

Confirm delivery for the actual basket

Beleaev's shipping policy, checked on 11 October 2026, separates caviar delivery from UK gourmet delivery. Its gourmet section describes delivery windows that depend on order timing and product category. Do not apply the caviar-specific London same-day service to meat.

  1. Enter the delivery postcode and inspect the options for the basket containing your chosen meat.
  2. Check the promised date or service window, dispatch timing and applicable charge, including weekend effects.
  3. Arrange for someone to receive the parcel and put the food into appropriate storage promptly.
  4. Allow additional time for label-directed fridge thawing if the product is frozen. Arrival day and cooking day are different planning questions.

When the parcel arrives

Check the product and variant against the order, inspect the pack and read the storage and date labels immediately. Put it into the stated storage promptly. If the seal is damaged, the state of the product is unexpected or you cannot establish appropriate handling, retain the packaging and contact the seller before using it. Do not taste it to assess safety.

Keep raw beef contained and separate from ready-to-eat foods. The FSA recommends fridge thawing and use within 24 hours after full defrosting, alongside product-specific directions. Do not infer freezing or refreezing permission from the word Wagyu.

Match the cooking plan to the format

An intact steak and a burger need different safety checks. A whole-joint method is not a timing guide for a small fillet. Resolve the actual cut, thickness and handling instructions before choosing a recipe, using the FSA cooking guidance where needed.

For a broader pack-and-price comparison, use the Wagyu buying checklist. Keep the final order total, not just a headline price per portion, visible when deciding.
