Description

Chile king crab, cooked at sea. Long, fleshy legs and snowy claws. Serve cold with a lemon wedge, or warm in melted butter.

King crab clusters from the cold South Pacific waters off Chile, wild-caught and cooked at sea, then flash-frozen for full flavour retention. Bright-red shells, distinctive spiked appearance and exceptionally tender meat. The flavour is gentle and clean: soft sweetness, light ocean salinity and a buttery undertone, without the heavier, fishy notes some shellfish carry. Smaller than the Barents Sea XXL clusters but with the same approach: thaw and serve chilled with lemon and mayonnaise, or warm through gently to bring out the sweetness. One 500g pack serves two as a generous starter.
