Choose your Japanese A5 Wagyu cut

Ribeye offers abundant marbling, a tender beef texture and a rich, buttery finish. It suits a brief pan sear, a focused tasting course or a larger piece portioned at home.

Sirloin combines fine marbling with a slightly more structured bite. Choose it for clean steak slices, plated dinners or a larger format when you have planned the portions and cooking method in advance.

Fillet is the tenderloin cut. It is especially tender, with a softer texture and milder beef character than ribeye or sirloin.

Sliced chuck roll is cut thin for quick cooking. Use it for shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, hot pot or a very brief sear in small batches.

Choose the right pack format

Smaller formats keep a first tasting focused and are easier to cook in a domestic pan. Multipacks provide equal portions for the table, while larger cuts give you control over steak thickness and presentation. Always check the selected option on the product page: the product card, live selector and pack label are the purchase-specific references.

What do A5 and BMS mean?

A5 combines yield grade A with meat-quality grade 5 under the Japanese grading system. BMS describes marbling within that system, but an exact BMS range should only be used when it is stated for the individual product. A5 is not a cut and it is not automatically Kobe Beef. Read our A5 and BMS explainer before comparing grades.

Japanese A5 Wagyu questions

Is all Japanese A5 Wagyu Kobe Beef?

Which cut is best for a first order?

Choose by texture and cooking plan. Ribeye is the richest steak experience, sirloin has more structure, fillet prioritises tenderness, and sliced chuck roll is designed for quick-cooked dishes.
